Overview It prevents you from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. A description of the services and the terms of use will be presented to students within LockDown Browser upon launch of the software. Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure browser that locks down the testing environment within the NDUS Blackboard Learn. This course may require the use of Respondus LockDown Browser and a webcam for online exams. However, because of those dropped assignments, there will be no make-up Chapter Quizzes. Note that while there are nine Chapter Quizzes, only 7 are included in your final grade that is, your lowest two Chapter Quiz scores will be dropped. You may have a piece of paper next to you to take notes on. There are two listening sections and two vocabulary sections to this test. Instructors who have created and deployed a test in a Blackboard course can configure it to require the Respondus LockDown Browser by going to Control Panel > Course Tools > Respondus LockDown Browser. Some learning systems require that students.

(Mac users can find it in their Applications folder.) Alternatively, Windows users can go to Start', locate 'All Programs, select Respondus, and click Respondus LockDown Browser. Due dates for the Chapter Quizzes are available on the course calendar below. Be sure you have installed Respondus Lockdown Browser and have a working webca. To start LockDown Browser, locate the LockDown Browser icon on the desktop and double-click it.

You will have 10 minutes to complete each Chapter Quiz (1 minute per item). Each Chapter Quiz will consist of 10 questions, each worth 0.5 points. You will also receive feedback on each item that you miss, which will help you identify areas where you may benefit from additional practice. You should complete these WITHOUT the assistance of notes, texts, search engines, articles, other individuals, or any other resource doing so will allow you the best opportunity to grow in your knowledge. Because of the important of consistent recall, you will complete brief quizzes on Canvas at the completion of each chapter. As mentioned in the syllabus, repeatedly recalling material is conducive to long-term learning.
